Color

by sadeyes   Jun 5, 2007

You stand there calling me names
Only because of the color of my skin
Why should I die for who I am
In God's eyes weren't we all created the same
Red, yellow, pink and blue
Why should my color matter to you
Because this world is big enough for me and you
So why should the both of us have to die
Isn't it time we see eye to eye
Maybe it's time we join hands
And help the homeless on the street
Give them blankets and a plcae to sleep
Maybe together we can help feed the families
Who don't have enough to eat
Instead of us just looking the other way
Tonight we sleep in our own beds
And we are safe
What about the child who lives in fear
That the next day will be her last
So can't we join hands
And start to make this world a better place
Not just for you and me
But for everybody

Yes, very true nice work. The world WOULD be a better place...it is not racism, it is the mere idea of race that seperates people. So as long as there is race, there will be rasicm. :(

This is definitely from the heart of a caring soul. This is very powerful and carries an important message and meaning, one we should all listen to and take heed.
