Moonlight

by Jessica Evelyn Maxwell   Jun 5, 2007

The Moon Shines Bright Tonight,
Shall Tonight Be The Night,
The Night It All Ends.
For The Sound Of Distant Wolves,
Howling There Lonesome Cries,
Calling To The Darkness Of The Hills.
Breaking The Silence, That Was Taking Over Me,
Bringing Me Back To The Cold Cruel World,
Where Im Forced To Stay.
Alone, Afraid, Abandoned.
I Too Stay In A Darkened Corner,
Staring At The Moon,
Hoping One Day Someone
Will Pull Me Away, But,
For Now I Stay In The Moonlight,
With The Wolves,
Such Sadness Washes Over Me,
As I Lay Down, And Go To Sleep,
I Know This Is Where I Shall Stay,
Until Someone Saves Me.
Which Will Never Be A Reality.
