Dreams and missed opportunities
Hearts betrayed by the mind
How can I be so easily swayed?
From the love I am trying to find

Perhaps solitude is my only answer
As I cry myself to sleep
It corrupts my thoughts like a deadly cancer
With every memory that I keep

It truly hurts to be all alone
As I drown in what I could be
But despite how much I've seem to grown
There still isn't anyone out there for me

But life just isn't fair
And the world is cruel indeed
It will steal your life, your friends, your breath, your air
And leave you bereft of what you need

But this tale goes on with no end in sight
And the world is not forgiving
Your can pray for the day and it will give you the night
It will let you be alive without truly living
