Car Crash

by Lindsay   Jun 5, 2007

I can hearing the wailing of the sirons,
Yet I can't see a thing,
It's all a blur,
Will people stop screaming?
I'm being lifted,
Where am I headed?
Being in an ambulance,
A place I've always dreaded,
Theres all the people talking,
Can't they just speak up?
I'm trying to move,
But I can't pushup,
Here I lie,
Crushed into ruins,
And I finally hear the man,
Mumbling "I think it's the abdomen"
I didn't think it hit me that hard,
It wasn't coming that fast,
Now that stupid car,
Seems so far in the past,
Seems hours I've waited,
And hours to come,
Can't I just give up,
And say I'm done?
It's too much pain,
But I'll try to hold on,
But in the blink of an eye,
My life...is gone.

-I wrote this poem after hearing a sad poem about car accidents... So it was my inspiration
