A Memory of Importance

by Hatori   Jun 6, 2007

My memory falls,
Like the leaves in the winter,
When hope slowly fades away,
Replaced to make way,
For the bitter snow to lay.

The snow is as bright,
As a dozen white roses,
Covering the memories,
That once stood bright,
In the midst of Fall.

I forgot everything,
And anyone I once knew,
All that once mattered,
Was lost and scattered.

Then again, a curious notion,
If something mattered with true devotion,
Wouldn’t I remember such a thought?
Or was there nothing worth knowing,
And not a thing to forget?

This poem softened my heart and blew me away. Such talent!! How you escribed and how you wrote this was simply magnificent! And I liked the ending question:

    "Then again, a curious notion,
If something mattered with true devotion,
Wouldnt I remember such a thought?
Or was there nothing worth knowing,
And not a thing to forget? "

    True poetry!! Great job!
