Could we stop the world

by Spencer Reeves   Jun 6, 2007

Teen shot in street
Baby starved cause nothing to eat
Mom killed cause of flipping peat
But the world moves on like it is nothing

Car kills gramba in LA
Do you think the memory would fade
All hunger crying and suicide today
But the world moves on like it is nothing

Global warming kills some polar bears
Look around who cares
Do you think we tried or ran cause we are scared
But the world moves on like it is nothing

Animals killed cause of new construction
Government says its all in the function
Can we help or do we fight for nothing
But the world moves on if it is nothing

If we could stop and make it right
Who do you think would fight
The world would die just as it got ripe
But then the world wouldnt move on then what would

I like yours, it rhymes. I don't really rhyme when i write poems, i prefer free verse.
