Planet Hell

by Daisy if you do   Jun 6, 2007

Pointless crimes
that happen every day
Spotlight shines,
fifteen minutes of fame
glorifying all sins
is such a media blitz
All Hail!
Now take a bow
it's the mis-fits

Status quo,
How'd you get your fame?
Just like everyone else,
inherited by name
What is normal?
No-one really fits in
Blame it on diseases,
name your own sin

Bi-polar,
schizophrenics
or even psychosis
Cure their illness
by doubling their doses
How many times
have they got to hit bottom,
Before a solution
is found to their problem?

Societies child
just begging for attention
Falls to the wayside
we forgot to mention
Black markets,
name a price,
it's all for sale
Revolution,
no solution,
Hey!
It's planet Hell

This is awesome. I know I'm learning from the right person when I read this. I can see exactly were u are coming from. They say psychological disease is derived from genetics. When really every person with a mind can be diagnosed with something or another. its seemingly just another way to lable lower levels of society and keep control. The elite are the one giving the diagnosis and approving benifits to keep them in poverty. Its a well oiled machine.
    Great stuff!!!

I loved that stanza. It hit the nail on the head perfectly to a question i've been thinking about lately.
    Excellent structure and rhythm m'dear

Very intense and deep piece. This really gives a good message about what our world is turning into.

Societies child just begging for attention
Falls to the wayside we forgot to mention
Black markets, name a price, it's all for sale
Revolution, no solution, Hey! It's planet Hell

    These lines are great.

    Kay,

We have evolved into a world that thinks a pill can cure anything. It's like name your symptom... yea there's a pill for it. The bad thing is the side effects of most drugs are worse than the symptoms. Of course, then you have the pills that counter the side effects. What a devesting world we live in today.

Great poem, message was right on and the flow well done.

    Always,
    Jeannie
