Nobody's home

by Chelsey   Jun 6, 2007

When it's just you and I hanging out alone
I turn the ring down to silent; I don't want to answer my phone
Sure its a lie, but I want to say...
There's nobody's home...

Whenever we're laying down and I hear a knock at the door
I am so quick to roll my eyes and just ignore
Sure its a lie, but I want to say...
I'm not home, don't come back anymore

If we are hand in hand in public somewhere
And we see a friend standing over there
Sure its a lie, but I want to say...
I'm invisible so please don't stare

When your lips slowly creep on mine
And I hear a noise in the midst of time
Sure its a lie, but I want to say
I have an earache, make your ruckus decline

If we are just hanging out one on one
I hear my mom needs a hand and interrupts our fun
Sure its a lie, but I want to say
I am boneless, I have none

Because every time you're around me dear
No one else seems to appear
And sure its a lie, but I want to say
Nobody's home, come back next year

I had to giggle when I read this. Just brings back so many memories of being young carefree and in love :)

    Great job!
