Oh lovely, dry your eyes.

by Holly   Jun 6, 2007

Her eyes are searching,
For some hand to come and grasp,
Wipe away the past,
Give her some soul.
She lost it all in a moment.
With three words,
She left us all here.
Travels her mind,
Time and time again,
trying to find where she went wrong.
She won't ask directions,
no matter how lost.
She'll wander for hours,
Only to find no where to go,
Nothing left to do,
But backtrack.
Reminise all the moments,
Every touch she doesn't feel,
Because it's not his hand.
His scent lingers,
Torturing every sense.
She wants to forget,
But not really.
She wants back the feeling,
Of their love.
Curled alone in the shadows,
Where'd her spark go?
Bring back the smile,
I was introduced to so long ago.
She must know,
She has something.
I'm lost at sea
in those deep blue eyes,
but she doesn't see anything,
anymore, she needs him.
If she could change the past,
Reverse all the feelings,
She wouldn't feel so alone.
She's been cold for years,
Without the warmth of touch.
She won't talk,
I won't understand,
I've never met that kind of man.
The cut is too deep,
it empties her soul slowly. She'll fake a smile,
the pain will grow,
Will she ever let this go?
I'm trying so hard,
What do I do now,
How can I leave.
I wish I could be,
Everything she needs,
But I'm not him.
I'm in the corner,
I've been cold for years,
On the bright side,
It's easier to catch frozen tears.
