Spirits

by The Queen of Spades   Jun 6, 2007

Warm fragrance
Lingers on silver leaf
In a magenta light
On soft sand beach
A heart bronzed deep
Dwells in tiny grain
Different in matter
Yet exactly same
Sweet starry nights
Overlook the plight
Receive the darkness
Transform to light
Skin getting hot
Under breath and sun
Walk with the wind
Then scamper, run
And memories form
Like blue-white waves
Any lonely dreams
It holds, it saves
From dusk 'til dawn
From day to night
This world, it turns
From wrong to right

I wish we could say the world could change from wrong to right, but in reality it never will. Once again excellent flow and word choice and the imagery in this poem was fantastic, I could picture everything in my head as I read along. Great work 5/5
