It's heartbreaking when we realize the love we once knew is gone. The old adage If you love someone set them free, comes to mind. This is so true, many times it is better for us in the long run.

This reminds me so much of my ex finace
I think for both of our sakes he said many times to me for me to leave, that I wasn't happy. He had his demons and I had mine. I thought I loved him but found it was more infatuation for the person he was when sober. If you truly love someone you will weather every storm. I was not willing to do that. I grew from those experiences and realized you can just walk away. Beautiful write. Congrats on winning with this entry. I truly loved it.
