Feasts of the Night

by Flying Phoenix   Jun 7, 2007

*Just because*

Shadows cast in the warmth of summer
Whispers carried on the wings
Hallows evil and devils tongue
Whilst in the eves, trouble sings

Swirling wind cavorts the night
Under the moons blind eye
Entwining hearts and souls of love
Tightening their grip
Beneath the jewelled sky

Cutting deep their wounds bleed
Crying out to the end
Writhing in agony
Tortured to the grave
Where demons do attend

Pluck those hearts so pure and warm
Beating slowly and stilling fast
As this horrid nightmare feasts
Stabbing, eating, aching
Pain forever lasts

This is my tormented dream from you
When you said you had to leave
Tears flowing forever more
My broken heart still grieves
