The Ending Point

by 19Rusty   Jun 7, 2007

When everything has fallen away from me,
no longer do I have a hate that lives in me,
but a feeling of understanding, of my being older,
factoring in the faults and coming up with something
that becomes another little needle in my side,
growing older they grow bigger, all of these nails
in my side.

It could be anything at any given time,
a lover, or a confusion that just won't end,
but I am about at the end, and nothing is
going to satisfy, what problems I start,
a new beginning, and the broken memories
become a mother, to nurture them and break me
down, they know that in minutes I'll find something
else to take its place.

Great poem. i love the imagery... the nails and needles in the side. my favorite lines are
"but I am about at the end, and nothing is
going to satisfy." so, once again, good job!
