That's Life...

I guess I could just runaway
I guess I could give in
I guess I could let them get to me
I guess I could let them win

Maybe it would be easier
Maybe it would be best
Maybe giving up this fight
Would finally give me some rest

I could just let them break me
Just like they did before
I could just let them take and take
Until I had no more

Things could be different now
Things could be perfect
Them with their happy lives
And me, their only defect

I guess I could just end it
Take away my life
Perhaps it would be best
I guess I could get a knife

But that would make things easy
Something they don't deserve at all
So I'll just keep on living
Life's tough after all.

    I like the voice behind the poem. It's a reasoning, a questioning, and I love it's inquery. I liked the ending how it all of the sudden came to the conclusion that life is simply tough. Excellente, Raychil - I do miss your poetry. Again, I marvel your words that seem to be so delicately crafted in perfection. Keep it up, missy, or I won't have any inspiration.
