Hazed Confusion

by Kristin   Jun 7, 2007

Lost in a haze of confusion
Tormented with desired temptation
To have one and the other
Would be a tremendous sensation

They say I can not have my cake
And eat it all the same
Keeping one I would lose the other
What a wretched game

Struggling with the past
Trying to maintain the present
Holding on to broken strings
Fighting my heart that is bent

With all the benefits of being single
And all the perks of being taken
I will never be truly happy
Without having to forsaken

I mourn for my burden
But I try not to dwell
On how it will in affect me
Whether I will be in hell

For now, I will remain silent
And keep my emotion under wraps
Holding on to fantasy
If only Venus drew maps
