Canada's unheard cries

Have you heard Canada's unheard cries?
the crisis, the tragedies, and all those demise?

did you hear about the boat crash
where one young man died
he got swept in the current
and drowned as he tried?
what about the missing people
who suddenly disappeared,
or the shootings in school
that we all so deeply fear?

there's stabbings, and murders
and many hit and runs,
there's tortures and missings
it's only problems.
in Manitoba 4 people died
they got caught in a fire
which they could not survive.

soldiers in Afghanistan
died on a helicopter crash,
the poor are struggling
with their little bit of cash.
Blood poisoning has touched
babies in Toronto,
all across Canada
people cry cuz of sorrow.
