Beautiful Addiction

by Daz Mellow   Jun 8, 2007

Would you,
Would you cry,
If I told you to cry?

Would you,
Would you smile,
If I told you to smile?

Don't bother telling me,
I know the answer.
You'll just say yes and not mean it.

Even if I know that it wont be true,
Ill still believe you...

I could blame you,
For making me this way.
But I wont.
I should ignore you,
Forget the words you would never say.
But I cant.

Its a shame,
That I threw everything away for this,
But maybe I'm the one to blame.

You are the air I breathe,
You are the drugs I didn't mean to take.
You are the addiction,
I just cant quit.
Always wanting more.
Ignoring the cries, when I'm hit.

Why, Why, Why,
Am I doing this to myself?
This isn't me and I'm not pleasing anyone else.
Tears constantly fill my eyes,
Blood constantly run from my veins,
But I wouldn't know it,
Something I just wont notice.

You're more than just something that caught my eyes.
You're more than another object that I can just walk by.
You're in my system, in my mind.
You're my beautiful addiction...

*I haven't written in awhile so I thought I'd give it a kick and see where it lands. Here's the outcome...hope you like it if you don't well then I don't really care.
