Rain hits the window
it's another sleepless night
the wind hushes me to sleep
holding to my pillow tight

to be held safe again
thats all I ever wanted
to feel your love deep down
you were all I needed

a broken heart condemned
no matter what I'm not alone
but feeling alive is so hard
stuck within this life of stone

my alarm clock screams

this purple sky remains
