Cold dark world

by jason   Jun 8, 2007

In this cold dark world
a boy with eyes black and gold
has a story start to unfold

looking in this world
for a reason to keep a hold
of his life
and not drop cold

looking for a reason
to grow old
finding no light on the way
having to face
all the ones
who beat him at the race
left him in last place

having to walk alone
holding his own head up
getting stuck
on the way
trying to find his place

the story grows long
as he grows up
all the others kids
thinking about lust
he just wandering
who he should trust

waking up in the morning
trying to convince himself
enough is enough
then seeing his chance
he grabs the piece of glass
that came from a car
that did pass

sitting there thinking
what to do
pass up the chance
or start over a new
then he wanders
what should he do
starts to cry
wishing he knew

not wanting to die
just wishing
he could start over
to change all the things
thate once made him blue

or made him
want to cry on the floor
then his story comes to a hold
the book closes
and the world remains cold

now without that little boy
nothing of him
not even his toys
the little boy
could not find his light
in this dark cold world

only knowing things that bore
and tore him apart
the light inside him
never again will start

Such a sad poem. It's almost heart breaking how that's prolly more then likely true. The flow was off, but can simply be fixed by putting it into stanzas.
