Broken promise. shattered dreams

It began slowly,
It wasnt supposed to happen,
A promise was broken,
In the minute of desperation.

It all fell apart,
as the blood began to drip,
You winced with pain,
everything began to slow.

You turn to me,
your eyes glistening wet,
you slowly twist the knife,
and i watch the tears begin.

You promised,
youd never hurt me,
You promised youd always care,
You dont know,
How much you hurt me then.

I cant remember why,
i cant remember how,
i just remember crying,
for every minute since then.

You broke me down,
never helped up,
i lost more then you,
as i wallowed in greif.

The days were pointless,
My heart was dry,
my days were numbered,
without you by my side.

A promise,
that hurt so much,
A promise,
that cost my life.
