Watch them die.

by shadowknight   Jun 8, 2007

They looked at me with wide eyes,
Eyes full of sorrow.
Eyes that said no hope.

I was alone
No one knew enough to care,
about that orphan in the hospital bed.

Scars remained to remind me of pain,
Flashes of memories stopped forgiveness,
Yet not even tears reminded me of grief.

An empty room, so close to mind,
a beautiful world of beautiful lies,
No one cared, no one knew,
how much suffering i was put through.

I watched it happen,
i watched them die,
i watched the suffer,'
i saw it in their eyes.

I stayed strong for them,
though theyd never see,
i needed no help to stand and walk,
i took my own steps to save myself.

They left me with a smile,
knowing i was safe,
they were happy to go,
and leave me alone to stay.

I thought of them quite often,
liked to think they saw me,
standing strong with pride.

But the dreams and fantasies,
soon began to fade,
as i realised,
life would never be the same.
