Realising reality

by shadowknight   Jun 8, 2007

I kissed her frozen cheek,
ruffled his golden hair,
and watched them as i waited.

The ambulance came softly,
like it was a distance, away,
i felt them move the car,
i felt them pick me up,
and claim i was alright.

I slowly turned my head,
and watched them frown,
then saw my parents,
pulled out of their death.

They told me i was a mess,
but ill survive.

How ironic,
i live,
they die.

we often argued about the fact,
i regret the words,
i take them back,
i loved them more then that.

Somehow i think they knew,
how much i would miss them.
They knew id be strong,
and fight till the end.

I held back the tears,
to proud to cry,
as they jabbed me with needles,
and told me i was fine.

I wanted to wake from that vivid dream,
and forget all the memories,
Then i realised,
It was reality.
