Forever

So there was this boy and girl. They met when they were young. He promised her forever, best friends till the end. They did everything together and he never left her side. He always had her back, even if she was in the wrong.

She thought forever seemed a long time to never leave someones side. But he never did break that promise for all the time they spent together. They had their arguments like everyone does. But they always smiled said "sorry" and went back to being best friends. He was always very protective over her; she was all he had ever known.

He called her every night or she called him. They told each other everything, they kept no secrets...well that's what the other thought. She had a big secret but she knew she could never tell him because it would ruin their friendship forever.

He sat there in his room on the phone to her one night looking at the picture on his desk of them together. He never realised how beautiful she was...well is. He loved talking to her and the friendship they had. It was one in a million...but he started to think maybe he wanted more.

One day they had one their biggest arguments, "Why the hell don't you just let me live my life. You are always interfering in stuff that's non your business." He replied, "It is my business, anything to do with you is MY business.2 "What? No its not! I'm me and you are you. Do not mix that up ever! I think we been spending to much time with each other, we can't decipher between what is each other business." "So you saying we need a break apart, you make it sound like we are dating." "No I know that would never happen." As she walks away she whispers "But I wish it would..." "Where are you going? Come back we got to talk through this."

He kept texting her and calling. But she never replied back or answered the phone. She didn't know what to say, she missed him so much, but she could't go on the way they were.

So they didn't see each other for a few months. Both of them kept picking up the phone and dialling the number then hanging up just as it started to ring. He missed the sound of her voice, the way they used to be able to call each other when ever. She missed having someone to call and to tell everything that happened that day.

Then one day as he was sitting on the sofa he got a text, well not unusual but the person texting him surprised him so much. It was she, the girl he dreamed about every night and missed so much. She said "I'm bored so you want to go out for a walk down the beach text back?" He text " Yes of course I'll meet you in five minutes x"

She thought have I done the right thing? Should I have done that? But as she saw him walking towards her she had no regrets at all. Her only regret was not texting sooner. She thought should I tell him, yes I'll tell him how I feel.

He walked up to her cupped her into his arms and swung her around, "I missed you so much! I wanted to call you ever day and I couldn't stop thinking about you." This took her by surprise, she stepped back and looked into his eyes. "I missed you to...never let that happen again."

They stood there staring at each other. They both had seemed to have grown up in the time apart. "I got something to tell you and please do not interrupt me or I will lose my nerve. This time apart has really made me certain about the way I feel about you." She didn't know what to think. What was he going to say? "The night before are argument I realised I wanted more than just the friendship we had, have. I want you to be my girlfriend...forever." So she stood there looking at him..."forever's a long time." He replied, "Forever's not long enough..." She ran into his arms and never wanted to let go...ever.

So what happened I hear you say. Well yes they became boyfriend and girlfriend, and they had arguments still. But they would never be mad at each other for long. And yes it sounds cliche but they did get married and have children but it wasn't always happily ever after, as always in life there were bumps in the road ahead. But I guess it is the most happily ever after you can have in this time and age.
