Losing Love

by Benjamin Ishmael   Jun 8, 2007

When I wake up in the middle of the night
I watch what has happened from my hindsight
My dreams and wishes are suppose to come true
But without you in this world, I know it would be blue

You were the one that made me happy each day
The problems I had seemed to disappear and not stay
Looking into your eyes I saw a future of what life should be
Knowing that I had someone strong alongside me

It was nice to be in love with you
It was nice to know that you cared
It was nice to enjoy the pleasures and happiness
That you and I once shared

The day you came into my life
I knew that I wanted you to become my wife
I wanted to enjoy days that you and I could share
I wanted all the happiness that we could both bear

But as I sit here and think about the days to come
I worry about my fear and where it came from
I question myself about what I did wrong to this day
Sometimes all this seems to be my fear that will likely stay

I never wanted to lose what I had
That thought was in my sight and it looked so bad
The possibility of losing what I held so close and dear
I hope that I will eventually understand and see clear

Wow, I can't find the words to express how I felt when I read it. I loved it though, very emotional. I hope you can take the time to read one of mine.
