Shadow knight

A man so brave,
a man so dark,
tales are told,
songs are sung.

Damsels in distress were saved,
Never knowing their rescuers name,
All the restless and defenseless,
saved from the pits of their despair.

A hero who told no one his name,
a hero who remains a secret,
a hero whose tales crossed the world,
The story of the shadow knight.

Many watched and waited,
for this world known hero,
many put to their deaths,
for mentioning,
The shadow Knight.

Once he was known,
he could not face the world,
he dropped his mask,
ran in to the night,
he could not take it anymore.

The world of Heroes slowly dies,
as shadow knight dissolves,
No one is safe,
from what the world they tried to create.
