My First TRUE Love Poem

by Poetvoices   Jun 9, 2007

My first earthly love.
My very best friend.
I know NO MATTER WHAT,
on you I can depend.

Most think it's strange
how our relationship goes.
They don't understand
how our conversation flows.

Sometimes I wonder
if I love you too much,
but one glance from you
says I could never do such.

Often, I get lost in your chocolate brown eyes,
and I love to run my fingers through your thick, black hair.
I have pictures of you in pretty frames
sitting around just everywhere.

Sometimes that confused look in your eyes
makes me love you more.
I don't know how I ever slept alone
or lived my life before.

I thank God every night
that your mother gave birth to you,
because with you, baby,
I don't know what I'd do.

You're more than just my dog.
You're my baby, my love, my best friend.
I'll be here for you, Georgia,
until you meet your end.
