Jump Rope

by x Mo x   Jun 9, 2007

Have you ever jumped rope?
Then you know how it goes.
You turn a rope and jump
It's something everyone knows.

Well think of that game
As life as we know it.
I mean it's just the same
And it seems to fit.

The rope is like life
As we each take our turn
We jump and we sing;
We grow and we learn.

We jump until we can't,
And our legs start to give.
We jump out of the turns
And its no longer our turn to live.

~Pure boredom with too much on my mind.~

The stanza mentioned above was quite provocative, at least, to me. Unlike the previous poems, I don't find this piece particularly funny or amusing, only the jump rope theme =P. For such a short, simple piece, it encompasses so much concerning Life... Hmmm, very nice work. :D 5/5 Debbie

P.S. Thank you for the comments.
