Under the Bridge

by x Mo x   Jun 9, 2007

My teacher once said
That if I didn't try
I'd live under the bridge
In a box and eat only rice.

Can you guess what happened?
Well I did try my best.
I studied really hard
And I passed the final test.

But you see, that's not all.
I guess passing my test
Wasn't what she meant.
She meant for me to do the rest.

As I studied for my final,
I forgot to do my work.
I regret that now,
As I sit here like a dork.

Yes, my box is roomy.
And the bridge aint so bad.
But I ponder the things
That I could have had.

So listen to me
And do try your best,
But remember your papers
And not just the test.

~Dedicated to Mrs. Mecham my Spanish teacher for two years, who taught me that homework really is important.~

She really told you that you would live under a bridge, wow she really is a demoness. I hated having her. but at least she's not as boring as Ms. Burnett.
