God [Need For Knowledge]

God.

Perhaps this quest for knowledge
can give me better understanding,
of what was, is, and will be..
For, I'm lost in a dark sea
filled with monsters and beasts.

Perhaps this quest for knowledge
can give me better judgment.
I know I shouldn't judge at all,
for that's only God's call
filled with innocence and purity.

Perhaps this quest for knowledge
can give me better brains.
The one I have is fading away,
it's been gone since yesterday
leaving me oh so hopeless.

Perhaps this quest for knowledge
can give me better faith.
For, I've strayed to far from heaven..
and the faith I've believed since seven.
Maybe God can save me, just one more time.

For, this quest for knowledge
is taking a tole on all I have.
Filling my life with desperation,
and my body with such sensation..
that all I can feel is a need for knowledge.
