Darkness (145)

by NinjaGirl   Jun 9, 2007

I look at your face
It is so tearstained
Withering colors
Through seasons waned.

I'm on the edge of despair
I suffer in lonliness
You don't know my pain
Everything's a mess.

In the harsh winds of summers misery
In the bitter winds of winters sorrow
I'm waiting for the beacon to be lit
I'm waiting for tomorrow.

I open my eyes wide
But it is only darkness I see
I hear water in my head
Drowning in memory.

I see faces
I hear voices
I feel the pain
Of my choices.

Then the phone rings
I know it's you
King of all kings
Clears the darkness from my view.

Happiness goes; everything's disappearing
Voices are fading
And I'm finding it hard
To continue this pointless waiting.

I know me better then anyone else
So well I can't sleep
Darkness is overtaking; I can only see myself
I'm fading, disappearing into a void so deep that I can't breathe.

    Thats a deep poem
    "I see faces
    I hear voices
    I feel the pain
    Of my choices"
I love that, it was planned out well 5/5
