Strength of Wisdom

by Michael D Nalley   Jun 9, 2007

Strength of Wisdom

With the 'Wisdom of Solomon', and Samson's strength
I would devoutly go to almost any length
To slay my enemies with the jawbone of an ass
Or more eloquently speak with a little class

The sweetness of Dalila left such a bad taste
When secrets were given away sadly in haste
Innocence will die when divided in half
We were not created in the image of a calf

A pompous ass may worship a holy cow
Must we always betray Love somehow?
Love is mysteriously connected to belief
The hope of divine mercy the only relief

From the Lion of Judah we may wish to eat
Finding the strength of wisdom is very sweet
Of all of the sins such as pride, envy, or lust
There is no greater sin than betrayal of trust
