hes going
hes walking away
the girl kept repeating,
daddy please stay
watching him as he packs his bag
her mother lights another fag
she shouts
she screams
she cries some more
anything to make her dad not leave that door
he looks at her
then looks away
hiding the tears
not knowing what to say
her mother drinks the alcohol some more
shouts at the girl
what you crying for
staring at her feet on the ground
tryna block out the threatening sound
suddenly her mum raised her fist
tryna punch the girl
but she ducks she was missed
desperately thinking how to keep her dad
without making her mummy mad
she tries to run and reach for the door
but her mum catches her shes dragged to the floor
for this little girl theres no where to go
the bruises on her body shes forced to not show.
