Pushed Away

by Lindsay   Jun 9, 2007

Trapped in endless misery
And agonizing pain
When you left you took my life
And left a blood red stain

Now I cannot seem to wash
Your memory from my mind
I wish that I could get you back
But there is no rewind

Since you left
I can not find
The happiness
That once was mine

Your love and care
Could fix this mess
I'd give you everything
All my love and nothing less

Even though I offer this
I know you won't come back
Because I know I'm not good enough
And all you want is what I lack

I wish that you would be my friend
But that would be at your expense
Kind words and smiles only show
When my friendship is to your convenience

I see you laughing with your friends
And know they can't be me
A lonely girl, a tainted name
My imperfections are all you see
