Everyone Around Me

by Lindsay   Jun 9, 2007

Everyone around me
Is living in a separate world
Opened curtains, shining lights
And they have been set free

My world is dark and cold
The stage lights have burnt out
The curtains closed and stay unmoving
While I sit here growing old

Everyone around me
Is settling in their place
Where mysterious opportunity knocks
And is greeted by a joyful face

My place is yet unclear
And I can't find my way
Through worries, doubt, and sacrifice
And partings bringing tears

Everyone around me
Has found someone to hold
Someone to cherish as their own
Someone to love and be

Once you were mine to hold
But now I plainly see
That you will go and you won't know
All these feelings that remain untold
