You, yes you, I want to thank you

by Sarah Badr and Ganima Elghourani   Jun 9, 2007

You brought me here without a choice, you brought me to this place,

You brought another mini you, people see it from my face,

You spoiled me like never before,

And I enjoyed it and I wanted more and more,

You held me to your chest every night,

You never wanted to let go, you held me very tight,

You brought a smile to my dial,

And when you Were not in my sight, I guess it as worth while,

You sang to me in the middle of the night, you sang to me lullabies,

You'd do anything you could for me to avast tears falling form my eyes,

You taught me what was right and wrong, you led me to the right path,

You changed my clothes, you fed me, and the best part was showering me in the bath,

You tied my shoes when I was tripping, you combed my hair everyday,

I tried my best to talk, to find a way to thank you, but I didn't know what to say,

You dressed me in the nicest clothes, you took my hand and showed me the way,

1st day of school was excitement for me, but you were to scared for us to be apart,

I wish I let you know, that even if we part, I'll still have you entwined in my heart,

You told me your past and I Learned from the mistakes you've made,

But never will I forget all you've done for me, I'll never let those memories fade,

Here I am now, in the path you've led me to,

I guess I'll never love any one as much as I've loved you,

You are my sister, my best friend, my everything, you are my mother,

Those memories will always be shown, they are too real to cover,

And now that I've grown to the person that you've made me become,

I want the whole world to know that my mum turns all my frowns upside down.
