My Aunt Francie

by Corinne   Jun 10, 2007

You were always my favorite,
Aunt Francie
All my other aunts
Were old
My mother's age
Fuddy duddies
Inhabiting bodies
That often typify women in their late 40's

But you were at least
Fifteen years their junior
Shapely; svelte
Possessing a mod wardrobe
Funny and hip
Just missed being a part
Of the 60's youth culture
By this much

Now I am even older
Than my mother was
Back then
But you still seem young
And you don't dress
Like a fuddy duddy

You are
Eternally cool

This is fabulous. It made me think of my Aunt Karen, she's always been a blast to hang with. You should definately send this poem to your Aunt Francie, she'd get a real kick out of it. I adore this piece, very cute!
