A Promise Kept

by Kalee nichole   Jun 10, 2007

Do you know how many nights
I've laid in bed and wept
Because of all the promises
the ones you've never kept.
All the times
you said you tried
while I waited and waited
and eventually found out it was just another one of your lies
so once again
a night at home
I'm by myself
and so alone
I've waited and waited because you said you would call
(of course you wont)
you say "I try"
but I know you don't
so finally I drift off to sleep after I decided it was another promise you didn't keep
and as I slept,
I dreamed of the day
that my last tear will fall
because a promise you made me
was kept after all.

I HATE WHEN GUYS DON'T KEEP THEIR PROMISES!! It makes me think that they are all the same in one form or another.
