Little girl.

by Miu   Jun 10, 2007

Warm autumn night.
Stars shine out there bright.
Leaves fall into river, floating softly with the flow
To the places unseen, unknown
A little girl crossing bridge, black dress she wears,
Head down, walking, thinking no one in the world cares.
Red headband with a small tie on top,
Holding her fleecy black hair, letting tears to drop.
Her big teddy bear, skids on ground.
Following her everywhere around.
Her mum, too drunk to care,
Her dad, been unseen for years.
Her big brother is just never there.
Little girl, she is only nine,
She does not know what death is,
Still she wishes to disappear.

Loved the imagery, especially in the beginning of the poem.
You can really feel the sadness here of the girl because of the thought out words you used.
    Good write.

  • I think that this is going to wind up being my favorite poem of your's.The visualization in this poem was great.I could actually imagine a young girl walking all by herself with her thoughts spinning because she feels so a lone. This was a truly amazing poem.It was very original.Again you're flow was slightly off but nothing that really made a difference because you're describtions made up for the flow.It was sorta kinda like a short story. It does need some slight touching up done though but I was really touched by this poem because I've always felt like that little girl.Anyways,I give you a 5/5
