Never Let Him Go

by Tareyn   Jun 10, 2007

These tears they burn
Warm. Down my face.
Exterminating memories
Without a trace.

I loved you so much,
But it was hard to show
And now that you're gone,
You will never know.

This knife seems to help,
Subsiding some pain,
But the scars leave memories
That are never plain.

Never again will you say
*Hugs and kisses*
Never again will I have
Hopes and wishes.

I never really knew
How much it would kill me.
I hope you can't sleep,
And your conscious feels guilty.

Did you ever really love me?
Did you ever really care?
Did you ever even notice
That I was always there?

All I can think about
Are the memories we shared.
How we cuddled and kissed
And I played with your hair.

I guess I never mattered to you,
Because if I did this wouldn't have happened.
I feel like everybody, and you
Are pointing and laughing.

"She's so stupid."
"She believed every word."
"She fell for his love,
And ended up getting hurt."

I'll never get over you,
And this, babe, I know.
Because even my tears are screaming
"Never let him go!"
