Tears of the angels

by shadowknight   Jun 11, 2007

Gently falling on my shoulders,
rolling down my cheek,
the heaven cries,
soft sweet tears.

It pains me to see,
the angels tears,
their wings have fallen,
their halo's drop.

They call our names,
but we never listen,
we never thought,
we never knew.

They weep,
tears of bitterness,
tears of depression,
and we smile right on through.

They tried to show us,
we were blind,
they tried to tell us,
we were deaf.

We watched them dry their own tears
we never thought to help,
but they stayed strong,
for us.

They save us from tears,
they shield us from the dark,
they blind us from the light,
and they guide us through life.

We never show gratitude,
we never say sorry,
we never help them soar,
or shine their halo.

They weep the tears of life,
they showed us how to cry,
they caused the rain,
that darkens the skies.

Gently falling on my shoulders,
rolling down my cheek,
the heaven cries,
soft sweet tears.
