Let there be light

by Yazdan   Jun 11, 2007

Then he said, let there be light
Everything lit up and the sky became bright
There you were, flying above us all
We all stood and watched you make your graceful fall
Your wings of gold glimmer in the light
Your warm smile made my heart shine bright
You're flawless in every way
What else can I say?

You are an angel, you're perfect can't you see
I fell in love the second you looked at me
I'll wait a million lifetimes just to hear you say
That you love and you'll be here to stay

I asked them all, "Don't you see her gorgeous wings?"
But none of them cared about non-material things
They all left but I stayed behind
To gaze at this perfect, beautiful find
I vowed to follow you to the end of the earth
For you showed me the reason for my once pointless birth
You're flawless in every way
What else can I say?

You are an angel, you're perfect can't you see
I fell in love the second you looked at me
I'll wait a million lifetimes just to hear you say
That you love and you'll be here to stay

For every problem we have, I'll take the blame
I'll keep you dry when your out in the rain
I'll give my life, my soul to keep you safe
I don't need anything but your trust and your faith

Take your time, make sure you're ready
I'm not perfect, I could leave you unsteady
You're flawless in every way
What else can I say?

You are an angel, you're perfect can't you see
I fell in love the second you looked at me
I'll wait a million lifetimes just to hear you say
That you love and you'll be here to stay
