The perfect man

There is a man
who i have yet to meet
I'll tell you everything
from his head down to his feet

he'll have ruby red hair
shoulder length at most
that shines so bright
in the summer light
you'd almost think it glowed

his eyes will be green
like emeralds in his face
so filled love and desire
just like their set on green fire
with a twinkle that gets me every time

his lips will be soft and smooth
set in a sexy pout
and to kiss his lips
will be like kissing a rose
so sweet it keeps you wanting more

his arms are strong and safe
keeping you safe and warm
to hold him will be like a touch of heaven
with the purity of a dove
you'll never want to let go

he will sing sweet songs
with a beautiful voice
that make you cry
though they're not sad

and he'll write you a poem
showing how much he cares
though his writing doesn't really make sense

but oh what a dream
and so rare it would seem
to meet a man so nice

and i am many things
though a fool i am not
which is why i don't expect this one dream
to come true
