MOVING ON

by Sarah Badr and Ganima Elghourani   Jun 11, 2007

I met you as a stranger, yes took you as a friend,
You cured all my pain, and my heart you would mend.
I loved you like I've never loved before,
And you promised me that our love is for sure.
We spoke on the phone till the break of dawn,
I was so in love with you that I would just start to mourn,
You said the sweetest words to me that I've never heard before
Your voice was my addiction, you spoke like a bird.
I asked you why you loved me and you would reply,
I love you now, tomorrow, till the day I die.
Your words they seemed so true,
How dumb was I, I actually fell for you.
I went through the pain,
And you broke my heart like it was locked with a chain.
It took me a while to bring back my smile,
But now I've realize your loss is worth while.
People move on, and so will I,
Boy I want you to know, you've lost me, and I've found a better guy!
