Breaking Free

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Jun 11, 2007

I know how much you love me,
Which is why I can't admit,
Every time I think of you,
I feel like total $#!+.
Why do you just let me
Hold onto your chains this way?
Are you just making yourself believe
That you want me, every day?
I want you to be happy,
I want you to be free,
And if I am holding you back,
Then, please, let go of me.
I want you so very much,
But I want your happiness more,
I want to give you options,
Not tie you to the floor.
Please, if I'm restricting you
From whom you want to date,
Let go of my hand, take my blessings,
We'll go our separate ways.
I have always loved you,
And I hope that you love me,
I just don't want you to be trapped,
With no way of breaking free.

*You gave me this option once, and I broke down, assuring you that it would never happen. I'm giving you this option too, not because I want you to take it, but because I want both of us to forget about it.*

She's right about one thing. That's an option I'll never take. You don't have to worry about being left, not for the rest of my life. Read this as many times as you need to; I will never leave you. By now, if I had wanted to, I would have. I know how I feel, and I'm doing right by my feelings. I try to do right by yours. Let me know if I fail.

    This option [probably] is wisest
But he would likely never take
Sad, but true he will hold on
Until both your hearts it breaks
Young love, so foolish and blind
    Fools both sides so completely.
