Freak Out.

by Teria   Jun 11, 2007

Freak Out.

Perishable items slowly stack up,
they're ready to travel to the next country.
She's feeding others in time of need,
as you sit there full of greed.

Your next stop is to a high fashion store,
and I see you just bought a new convertible.
A million new things stacking up,
to travel back to your huge mansion.

How a person could be so crude,
is far beyond my imagination.
You passed right by,
without blinking an eye.

How do you sleep at night?
Knowing innocent ones are dying?
One day you'll realize,
and you'll freak out.

Oh, I can't wait for the day
you're lying on your death bed
asking for forgiveness; your time in need..
trying to rid all regrets of any greed.

I liked this poem. It really seems to reach out and shake the reader. If this doesn't help people wake up to the fact that our society is falling through a moral degression that I don't know what will. 5/5.
