What I Want to Be

by Depressed_Without_Reason   Jun 11, 2007

You look at me,
All you see is a girl, who seems to have it all together,
You talk to me,
All you hear is a girl that's so happy,
But if you could look inside,
And if you could hear my thoughts,
You would meet a girl, who hates her past,
Loathes her present,
And dreads her future,
You would meet a girl, who just wants love,
Care,
Compassion,
You would meet a girl, who cries at night,
And when she's alone,
You would meet a girl with pain and hurt,
A girl with problems of her own,
You look at me,
And all you see is what I want to be.

This is so simple and straight forward, with no suspense or detail, yet it has depth which intrigues.
