Late Into the Night

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Jun 11, 2007

For so long I have waited
For the day when I might
Again be able to call you
So late into the night.
When our lives were plummeting,
And our spirits were dead,
I cried to you over
The phone next to my head.
The sun would set,
And the moon would rise,
And every tear
Would leak from our eyes.
The moon would disappear,
And the sun would clear the trees,
And you would give me soft advice
And listen to my pleas.
Our parents would start to wake up,
And we'd hang up the phone,
Knowing that we had begun to see
That we were not alone.
Now I'm without a best friend
Whom I know is always right,
Because I can't complain and cry
Late into the night.

Sorry dear. But I must admit you dug yourself this hole, now it's your turn to dig on out.
