Sometimes I wonder
what's wrong these days
half the work
and equal pay

I'm all for equality
but I'm not sorry
that America is just grand

why are we helping
starving kids in africa
when we have starving kids here?

why are we trying
to help other people
when they just hate us for it?

Why do people complain
that we are doing
the best we can?

never forget the truth
and never respond to lies
you'll lose yourself in this world
if you cater to every cry
