Nobody Knew

by The Tears I bleed   Jun 11, 2007

She hides within herself
Running and never stopping
Must be exhausting- never ceasing
Everyone saw the bruises on her arms and legs
Everyone saw the light fading from her eyes
Everyone heard all of her lies
But nobody knew...

He clinches his fists,
Keeps all the anger in
And turns back to the razor again
Everyone saw the scars,
Everyone saw him slipping farther and farther away,
Everyone heard all the things he'd say
But nobody knew...

She eats nothing at all,
Always judging herself even to the death
He eats everything,
Burying his feelings so nothings left
He screams
She lies
Shattered; are their dreams
They put up a fight,
They prayed through the night
They tried to tell,
They went through hell
They cried,
And since no one heard or asked why,
Since no one really knew...
They died

This poem it the truth because not to many people do ask questions when they notice something. This was very well written. Keep up the good work
