In an altered State of Consciousness

I love it, cant say that I dont
To escape the World, when times get
Rough, cant say that I wont
Its my addiction, as I escape with such ease,
A drink from the bottle, some music,
Or a poem to read, its all I need
To escape from the pleasure or pain,
I know it may sound insane, but Im addicted
To leaving, something I cant explain
Because, whether things are going good or bad
I would be absolutely glad, to leave this
World in a flash, I know, it sounds mad
And you probably cant understand
Why I love to be alone, only a few friends
But thats just the way that I am
I just love to be alone, cant explain why
To be away from the craziness, away from
All troubles, such a natural high
In an altered state of consciousness, in such bliss
Away from all the bad, full of happiness
I wish that real Life could be like this.
